Where The Journey Begins

I was thinking where and how to start this journey of my web presence. After years of working and creating my space in the real world, I felt it is time to share it with you, here. In a reality of a different presence.

And as always, life showed me the way. I start in the mountains. Where I happen to be now (and feel very lucky;). Where I long to be and be-long. Be- because it's here where I really am myself. And where I always long for more.

As part of my family comes from the Polish mountains, my earliest best memories are from there. The freshness of the air. First skiing experiences. Long treks, building friendships and feeling part of this special community. A strong and resilient community where simplicity is to sustain and fully enjoy life in this demanding environment.

The mountains are always there, strong, still and steady. And I think this is what makes me feel so anchored here. In whichever part of the world they are, it's the same presence. The same sense of be-longing. Everytime I come here, I am different. Going through different challenges and transitions. The mountains are always the same. My source.

They teach me to stay in touch with reality and at the same time to dream big as the view from the top shows much more. They teach me to believe in the force of life and simplicity looking at little torrents that down in the valley transform into majestic rivers. They teach me to slow down when approaching the top as lower oxygen levels challenge my body to stay safe and conscious. They teach me to be mindful of the signs of changing conditions so I can update plans when needed and stay flexible and resilient. They teach me to take care of myself so that others can feel safe during challenging situations. They teach me that it is fine to depend on others and surrender without self judgment. They teach me that even if I see no light, the sun could be on the other side of the valley, I just need to walk a little bit more. They teach me that I can change the world inside and around me from the position of stillness, not from constant motion and action.

It's here when I watch and see, listen and hear and feel to understand.

Have you noticed that the churches in the mountains are small and cosy? As if there is no need to build any other representation of God's presence. Everything is here, already.

So here I am. Thankful for Your presence here, in whichever stage of your journey you are now. Let's walk together.

Love Ewa (Eva:))
